Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine urgency of medical conditions
- Utilize clinical judgment to prioritize patient cases based on severity and established protocols
- Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care teams to coordinate patient care pathways
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and families regarding next steps and resources
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (TX)
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Spanish bilingual skills strongly preferred
