Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using standardized triage protocols
- Coordinate with physicians to determine immediate care priorities
- Document clinical assessments in Epic EHR systems
- Provide education to patients and families regarding care pathways
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for seamless patient flow
- Monitor emergency department capacity and adjust resources accordingly
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and CMS regulations
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (required)
- Minimum 3 years ED or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities in diverse populations
- BSN degree or higher preferred
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
