Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments and prioritize emergency cases using standardized protocols
- Provide telehealth consultations and clinical guidance to patients and providers
- Accurately document patient encounters in Epic EHR systems
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists on complex case management
- Implement triage protocols for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
- Maintain calm demeanor during high-pressure emergency situations
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and emergency department regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state eligibility)
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- BSN degree or higher (MSN preferred)
