Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases according to urgency protocols
- Accurately document patient information and medical histories in electronic health records
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care pathways
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Support triage team through cross-training in ancillary departments
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California or ability to obtain immediately
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
- BLS certification with ability to obtain ACLS within 90 days
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Outstanding communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations

- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
