As a Triage Nurse, you'll be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring timely and accurate assessments while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Make critical decisions regarding patient acuity and appropriate level of care
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop patient care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain electronic health records
- Provide education to patients regarding self-care and follow-up procedures
- Manage high-volume call centers with efficiency and compassion
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHR)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- BSN preferred or equivalent experience
