Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Make critical decisions on patient prioritization and disposition
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff
- Document assessments accurately in Epic EHR systems
- Provide telehealth triage support for virtual care initiatives
- Collaborate with case managers for patient flow optimization
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and CMS standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida (FL RN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency/trauma nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ESI triage certification preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
