Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patients' conditions upon arrival using emergency nursing protocols
- Collect vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints for accurate triage classification
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient flow
- Document patient assessments and interventions in electronic health records
- Provide emergency interventions within scope of practice
- Educate patients and families on emergency department processes
- Maintain compliance with TAC and emergency department regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 3 years emergency room/urgent care experience
- ENPC or TNCC certification required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress environments
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications
