Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using evidence-based triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients/families during emergency situations
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient flow and resource allocation
- Document clinical encounters accurately in EMR systems
- Provide health education to patients regarding appropriate care settings
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency department regulations
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (required)
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications (or obtain within 90 days)
- Strong knowledge of EMTALA and triage protocols
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
