Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using standardized triage protocols to determine medical urgency
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers during high-pressure situations
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR system within established timeframes
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate appropriate patient care pathways
- Maintain inventory and quality control of emergency department supplies and equipment
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
- Provide health education and discharge instructions to patients and families
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania with minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC or ENPC preferred
- Proficient in Epic EHR system with strong computer literacy
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrated experience with pediatric/adult triage protocols
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate stressful situations
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
