Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity via telephone and in-person triage using standardized protocols
- Coordinate emergency department patient flow and bed assignments
- Provide clinical guidance to patients and family members regarding care urgency
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff for seamless care delivery
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and state nursing regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years emergency/urgent care nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills and triage expertise
- Exceptional communication and decision-making abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
