Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via phone and in-person to determine urgency of care needs
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to prioritize patient cases effectively
- Document detailed patient information and medical histories using EMR systems
- Provide clear, compassionate guidance to patients and families during critical situations
- Monitor and manage patient flow to optimize department efficiency
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- BSN degree preferred
