Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Prioritize patients based on acuity levels while maintaining accurate documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for seamless care transitions
- Provide initial interventions and education to patients/families
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency department protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization
Qualifications
- Current Arizona RN license with minimum 2 years ER experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in ESI triage methodology and electronic health records
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during high-volume situations
