Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using standardized triage protocols and prioritize care based on clinical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Provide education to patients/families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Monitor patient vital signs and recognize deteriorating clinical conditions
- Maintain efficient patient flow through the emergency department
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years Emergency Department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
