Responsibilities
- Assess patients' medical conditions and prioritize care based on urgency
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and families during critical situations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide education on home care and preventive health measures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow
- Respond to emergency calls and triage incoming patients efficiently
- Monitor vital signs and interpret diagnostic test results
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Spanish bilingual preferred for diverse patient population
