Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and determine appropriate care urgency
- Provide accurate medical guidance to patients via phone and telehealth platforms
- Collaborate with physicians to coordinate patient care pathways
- Maintain detailed documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
- Handle emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Stay current with clinical protocols and regulatory requirements
- Train and mentor new triage staff members
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 3+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in emergency or urgent care
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Experience with Epic or EHR systems
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments
