As a Triage Nurse, you'll be the first point of contact for patients seeking urgent medical attention, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate care. Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine urgency and prioritize care
- Provide accurate medical advice via phone and in-person triage consultations
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and emergency department staff to coordinate patient care
- Maintain detailed patient records using our advanced EHR system
- Administer initial treatments and interventions as directed by medical protocols
- Educate patients on self-care and follow-up procedures
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases immediately
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress situations
