Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using Emergency Severity Index (ESI)
- Conduct comprehensive telephone triage for patients seeking urgent care
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams on patient disposition
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide clear medical instructions to patients and families
- Oversee patient flow in the emergency department
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona (AZ RN)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Experience with ESI triage protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) preferred
