As a key member of our Emergency Department team, you'll leverage your clinical expertise to prioritize patient care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to our patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity levels
- Provide accurate clinical guidance to patients via phone, telehealth, and in-person triage
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop appropriate care plans
- Document all patient interactions and assessments in the electronic health record system
- Monitor patient flow and communicate bed availability to department leadership
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN license (or compact license)
- Minimum 2 years emergency or critical care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
