Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine urgency and prioritize care
- Provide expert medical advice via phone, telehealth, and in-person triage
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for seamless patient transitions
- Document accurate clinical information in EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Stabilize emergency cases and initiate appropriate interventions
- Educate patients on home care instructions and follow-up protocols
- Monitor patient flow and optimize department efficiency
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California
- Minimum 3 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Expertise in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Spanish bilingual preferred
- Bachelor's in Nursing preferred
