As a Triage Nurse, you'll be the first point of contact for patients experiencing medical emergencies. Your expertise in rapid assessment and prioritization will directly impact patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments to determine medical urgency and prioritize care
- Utilize EHR systems to document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
- Provide telephone triage services to patients seeking medical advice
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and emergency department protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or triage experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with equivalent experience considered)
