Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using ESI protocols
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment including ECG monitors, pulse oximeters, and point-of-care testing
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care pathways
- Document patient assessments and triage decisions in Epic EHR system
- Provide patient education on emergency procedures and follow-up care
- Maintain compliance with TJC and CMS regulations
Qualifications
- Active CA RN license with minimum 2 years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficient in triage protocols and emergency assessment techniques
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments with provided equipment
