Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person triage assessments to determine the urgency of patient needs.
- Apply clinical guidelines and protocols to make safe, timely decisions regarding patient care pathways.
- Document all patient interactions and triage decisions accurately in the EMR system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other clinical staff.
- Educate patients on self-care management and follow-up instructions.
- Manage high-volume call queues with patience and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or urgent care setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
