Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive phone and in-person assessments of patient symptoms to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Prioritize patient flow and emergency care to minimize wait times and optimize resource allocation.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and advanced practice providers to ensure seamless patient management.
- Document all triage interactions, assessments, and care instructions accurately and promptly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Provide clear, empathetic patient education regarding home care instructions, medication management, and preventative health measures.
- Manage incoming calls and referrals efficiently while adhering to triage protocols and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in emergency nursing, urgent care, or medical triage.
- Strong proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and clinical documentation software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to de-escalate sensitive situations.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure.
