Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize cases using standardized protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care pathways
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR system
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding next steps
- Maintain high patient satisfaction scores during triage process
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Train new staff on triage procedures and protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX RN)
- Minimum 3 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication skills in English/Spanish
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- BSN or higher degree preferred
