As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in helping patients maintain their independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and light exercises as prescribed by the nurse.
- Monitor and report changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the Case Manager.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping to ensure a safe environment.
- Accompany patients to medical appointments and provide transportation assistance.
- Administer medications and reminders as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to improve the patient's quality of life.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Ohio CNA or HHA certification is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
