Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough initial patient assessments via phone, secure messaging, or telehealth platforms.
- Document clinical findings, patient history, and care plans accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Utilize clinical protocols to triage symptoms and determine appropriate disposition (e.g., home care, urgent care, emergency room).
- Educate patients on symptom management, medication adherence, and preventive health measures.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other members of the care team to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining composure and professionalism under pressure.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting (preferred in triage or urgent care).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and computer applications.
- Ability to make sound clinical judgments quickly and independently.
