Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile surgical instruments and equipment for procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile field integrity throughout procedures
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before/after surgeries
- Prepare operating rooms and equipment between cases
- Document surgical cases accurately in electronic health records
- Ensure proper sterilization and storage of surgical instruments
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year recent surgical tech experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic technique
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs
