Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments to determine acuity levels and prioritize care
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans
- Provide expert clinical guidance to patients and families during emergency situations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with detailed documentation
- Implement triage protocols while adhering to emergency department policies
- Monitor patient flow and resource allocation to optimize department efficiency
Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN license (or compact state eligibility)
- Minimum 3 years emergency nursing experience
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required
- ACLS/BLS certifications maintained
- Strong assessment skills with critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and de-escalation techniques
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
