Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and transport specimens accurately to laboratory departments
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation and aftercare
- Manage inventory of phlebotomy supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize patient flow
- Document all procedures in electronic health records (EHR)
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional venipuncture skills for diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
