Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using standardized triage protocols to determine urgency of care
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient flow
- Document accurate clinical information in electronic health records while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide patient education and emotional support during stressful situations
- Oversee departmental resource allocation during peak demand periods
- Maintain strict infection control and safety protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current unrestricted RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 3 years emergency department experience
- ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN accepted with relevant experience)
- Excellent assessment skills and crisis management abilities
- Strong proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care
