Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care using evidence-based triage protocols
- Utilize provided EHR systems and diagnostic equipment for accurate documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care plans
- Provide compassionate telehealth and in-person consultations
- Maintain HIPAA compliance while handling sensitive patient information
- Train on and utilize advanced monitoring equipment including ECG machines and vital sign monitors
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia or compact state
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to operate provided medical equipment (pulse oximeters, nebulizers, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills in high-pressure situations
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
