Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and triage decisions based on medical acuity and urgency.
- Document patient interactions, medical histories, and triage notes accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to develop appropriate care plans.
- Provide clear, concise instructions to patients regarding medications, symptoms, and necessary follow-up care.
- Manage high-volume calls and inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
- Ensure all safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies are strictly followed.
- Assist in the training of junior nursing staff and triage protocols as needed.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a preference for experience in a clinical or triage setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
