Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using standardized triage protocols
- Operate diagnostic equipment including pulse oximeters, BP monitors, and point-of-care testing devices
- Coordinate with physicians and specialists for rapid patient disposition
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) in Epic systems
- Provide emergency medical interventions within scope of practice
- Educate patients and families on emergency care procedures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment (ECG, glucometers, etc.)
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in high-pressure environment
