Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive initial patient assessments via phone or in-person triage.
- Analyze symptoms and determine the appropriate level of care (ER, Urgent Care, or referral).
- Utilize provided medical equipment to document vitals and clinical data accurately.
- Provide clear instructions on medications, follow-up care, and home remedies.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and manage appointment schedules efficiently.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient transitions.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York State (NYS RN).
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in triage or clinical nursing.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick, accurate decisions under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
