Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telehealth and in-person patient assessments using evidence-based triage protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans and coordinate resources
- Document clinical encounters accurately in Epic EHR systems within 15 minutes of patient interaction
- Provide education to patients/families regarding home care instructions and symptom monitoring
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage accuracy
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
- Rotate between day, evening, and weekend shifts based on preference and facility needs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BSN or higher degree preferred
- Triage certification (ENPC, TNCC, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms and EHR documentation
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling requirements
