Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone, telehealth, and in-person consultations to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Provide accurate medical advice and triage recommendations per established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care coordinators to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) with precise documentation of assessments
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases immediately
- Educate patients on home care instructions and follow-up procedures
- Support emergency response protocols during high-volume periods
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota (MN RN)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in emergency, urgent care, or telehealth
- BLS/ACLS certification and current CPR credentials
- Proficient in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
