Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and virtual patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient cases based on acuity levels
- Document clinical encounters accurately in Epic EMR systems
- Provide compassionate patient education during high-stress situations
- Coordinate care transitions between emergency departments and specialists
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and state nursing regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for triage accuracy
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Massachusetts with minimum 3 years clinical experience
- BLS/ACLS certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
- Expertise in emergency department or urgent care triage protocols
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms and electronic medical records
