Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive phone assessments of patient symptoms to determine the appropriate level of medical care.
- Make clinical decisions regarding the urgency of care and direct patients to appropriate providers, including ER, Urgent Care, or PCP.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately and timely within the EMR system.
- Provide clear, empathetic, and professional guidance to patients and their families regarding health concerns.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Stay updated on clinical protocols, telehealth best practices, and medication interactions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a triage or call center setting.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is required.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical software.
