Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive health assessments and triage patient calls to determine the urgency of medical needs.
- Analyze symptoms and medical histories to recommend appropriate treatment plans or facilitate immediate care.
- Document patient interactions accurately and efficiently in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and emergency departments to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Provide patient education and resources to support self-care and preventative health measures.
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a clinical setting, ER, or Telehealth triage preferred.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in navigating EMR/EHR software systems.
