Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person triage assessments to determine patient acuity and prioritize care.
- Evaluate symptoms, history, and vital signs to provide appropriate medical advice and referrals.
- Document all interactions and patient findings accurately within the EMR system.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist in the development of triage protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide patient education regarding treatment plans and self-care management.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Nebraska.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with specific experience in triage preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions under pressure.
