Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough symptom assessments via phone, secure messaging, or in-person triage.
- Evaluate patient needs to determine the appropriate level of medical care (ER, Urgent Care, or PCP).
- Provide clear, empathetic medical advice and triage instructions to patients.
- Coordinate patient care transitions and referrals to physicians or specialists.
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of all patient interactions in EMR systems.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and care teams.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in triage, telehealth, or emergency nursing.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make rapid, sound clinical decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
