Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize incoming calls from patients seeking medical advice and triage assistance.
- Perform comprehensive health assessments to determine the severity of symptoms and recommend appropriate next steps.
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Make appropriate referrals to primary care providers, specialists, or emergency services when necessary.
- Provide health education and counseling to patients and their families to promote wellness.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure continuity of care and resolve complex patient issues.
- Adhere to all hospital protocols, HIPAA regulations, and quality assurance standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with preferred experience in triage or telehealth.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with EMR/EHR software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to de-escalate sensitive situations.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure while making critical decisions.
