Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments via phone and virtual platforms to determine the severity of medical conditions.
- Make informed clinical decisions regarding patient triage, directing them to the appropriate level of care.
- Educate patients on self-care management and preventative health strategies.
- Document patient interactions, symptoms, and care plans accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage high call volumes efficiently while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and hospital protocols to ensure patient privacy and safety.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing, triage, or critical care.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
