Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments via phone and secure messaging to determine acuity levels.
- Make appropriate triage decisions and facilitate timely referrals to physicians or urgent care.
- Document all patient interactions and medical history accurately in the EMR.
- Provide patient education and detailed instructions for follow-up care.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to improve patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.
- Manage incoming high-volume calls with professionalism and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Louisiana.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, with a strong preference for triage or emergency room experience.
- Certification in Telehealth Nursing (CNL) or Medical-Surgical Nursing (CMSN) is a plus.
- BLS and ACLS certifications must be current.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic health records.
