Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via phone, video, or in-person to determine medical urgency.
- Provide appropriate medical advice, treatment plans, and referrals based on established clinical guidelines.
- Utilize provided medical equipment to ensure accurate monitoring and documentation.
- Document all triage interactions accurately and timely in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage incoming call volumes efficiently while maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NYS).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in triage or clinical nursing.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
