Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments via phone, email, and in-person consultations to determine the urgency of medical needs.
- Document patient symptoms, medical history, and triage decisions accurately into Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Facilitate appropriate referrals to physicians, specialists, or emergency services when necessary.
- Provide accurate medical advice and health education to patients regarding chronic conditions and wellness.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to streamline patient flow and improve overall care coordination.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency room, urgent care, or triage nursing.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC preferred.
- Strong proficiency in electronic medical records and computer systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, clinical decisions.
