Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine the urgency of medical needs.
- Manage incoming calls and patient inquiries via phone and secure messaging platforms.
- Document patient vitals, medical history, and triage notes accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Coordinate patient referrals to appropriate specialists, physicians, or ancillary services.
- Provide patient education regarding symptoms, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with the Emergency Department and nursing staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nevada.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in triage, emergency room, or critical care nursing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on empathy and patient-centered care.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
