Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to accurately determine the severity of medical conditions.
- Apply evidence-based clinical protocols to prioritize patient care and manage urgent care workflows efficiently.
- Document detailed patient histories, symptoms, and triage decisions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Consult with physicians and advanced practice providers to facilitate timely treatment plans and referrals.
- Provide clear, empathetic instructions and reassurance to patients and families regarding home care and follow-up.
- Identify critical situations requiring immediate intervention and activate emergency response protocols.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a triage, urgent care, or emergency room setting.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered, empathetic approach.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and make sound clinical decisions quickly.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems (EMR/EHR).
