Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical history to determine urgency of care
- Triage incoming calls and patients in emergency department settings
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to prioritize patient flow
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding home care or next steps
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs
Qualifications
- Current NJ Registered Nurse license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress situations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
