Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments to determine medical urgency using standardized triage protocols
- Accurately document patient information and vital signs in EMR systems
- Coordinate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure timely patient flow
- Provide clear communication to patients regarding wait times and treatment plans
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency department regulations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Support disaster response protocols during high-volume situations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New Jersey (or eligible to obtain immediately)
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations
- Willingness to complete our specialized triage training program
